WestPoint Home Expands Bahrain Ops with New $5m Facility

US-based WestPoint Home, a home textiles pioneer for more than 200 years, has further expanded its operations in Bahrain with the inauguration of a new state-of-the-art towel manufacturing facility. The $5 million facility is aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and meeting growing regional and global demands.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Bahrain’s Minister of Industry and Commerce Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, and Minister of Sustainable Development and Chief Executive of Economic Development Board (Bahrain EDB) Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif. Also in attendance were US Embassy Manama Deputy Chief of Mission Elizabeth Litchfield and several senior government officials and representatives from various business support organisations.

The ceremony was hosted by Jonathan Storie, President and CEO, WestPoint Home, and Mike Smith, Vice President – Human Resources, in close collaboration with the company’s Bahrain leadership team.
The project represents an additional $5 million investment into WestPoint Home’s existing operations in the Kingdom, where the company has already invested over $165 million since establishing its presence in 2006, furthering its commitment to manufacturing excellence, supporting national economic development, and showcasing the ‘Made in Bahrain’ brand at the global level.
From its Bahrain facility, WestPoint Home supplies major international markets including the GCC, US, UK, and Europe, and has exported more than $1 billion in products since its establishment to the US alone.

The facility’s vertically integrated operations handles every stage of textile production – from spinning and weaving to dyeing, printing, finishing and stitching, to produce top-notch products. Designed with sustainability in mind, the new line reflects WestPoint Home’s commitment to responsible manufacturing and reduced environmental impact.
“This towel production launch not only extends the capabilities of our largest global manufacturing base but also deepens our long-standing partnership with the Kingdom. With this investment, we are advancing our ability to serve customers worldwide and ensuring our products are manufactured with sustainability at the core of our operations,” says Storie.
