Totem Invests in a Screen Truepress Jet520HD with SC Inks

Polish book printer, Totem.com.pl, has installed a new Screen Truepress Jet520HD at its facility in order to expand its equipment portfolio and increase productivity and cost-effectiveness for its work in the competitive book market. The Screen Truepress Jet520HD has a true print resolution of 1,200dpi, guaranteeing offset-like quality whilst high-density pigments ensure ultra-realistic photographic quality. The accompanying Screen SC inks are compatible with a wide range of paper stocks including standard offset coated papers, without the need for pre-treatment.

“There were a number of key factors in deciding to invest in Screen technology,” said Michał Rejnowski, Totem.com.pl CEO. “Firstly, we were looking for a new inkjet press which would assure us top quality for a digital print. Secondly, we needed a diverse range of paper types – with the Truepress Jet520HD it is possible to print on a range of standard offset media as well as coated and self-adhesive papers. Essentially, the purchase of the Screen press, for us, means faster production so our publishers will get their books in shorter time, significantly increasing our productivity.”

Rejnowski continued, “The newly installed printing system will be mainly used for colour printing on coated media and as support for the more demanding monochrome printing orders. Our new Screen press gives us excellent printouts – equivalent to the print quality of offset presses.”
