The Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs Launches New Projects at the Holy Quran Printing Complex

The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Advocacy and Guidance, the General Supervisor of King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Qur’an in Madinah, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Latif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh, recently announced a number projects for production and translations of the Noble Qur’an.

The projects included the printing of Qur’an in 13.5 x 3.19 cm and 35 x 24.5 cm formats, with the new improved script, and the translation of the Noble Qur’an into the Tagalog (More than 50 million Filipinos speak Tagalog) as well as 14 other languages including Tamazight, Bassa, Tagalog, Dagbani, Tajik, Malay, Mandarin, Anko, Turkish, Telugu, Farsi, Vietnamese, Malabari, and Nepali as well as sign language.

Upon his visit, His Excellency took a virtual of the Prophet’s Mosque -using VR goggles– starting from the entrance to Bab Al-Salam, passing through the Bab Jibril path, the holy garden and the two stones, the Gate of Mercy path, the external squares, from the top of the lighthouses, the manuscript gallery and others. The virtual reality goggles allow you to see panoramic images of the Prophet’s Mosque.

His Excellency the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Advocacy and Guidance underlined the unlimited support given by the government to everything that serves the Holy Qur’an, indicating that the Kingdom presented this complex as a gift to the whole world. It is the largest printing press for the production of the Holy Qur’an in the world, and the ministry is honored to supervise the complex and its projects, serving the Noble Qur’an and its sciences, printing and distributing it among Muslims everywhere.

He praised the quantum leap achieved in the complex in the level of production and its efficiency after the ministry took over its operation. Production began in the complex in 1984 with five million copies of the Holy Qur’an, and in recent years the production raised 9 million copies annually. In the past two years more 18 million copies of the Qur’an in different languages and of with high quality were. On the other hand, despite the circumstances of the Corona pandemic, the complex maintained a high level of productivity while preserving the health of the workers.
