Saudi Xerox Agencies, a joint venture with Olayan Group, in collaboration with King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center, recently announced their corporate social responsibility initiative, ‘Qatrat Khair’. The initiative was a Blood Donation Campaign, which took place in Riyadh from 29th to 30th June 2013.
Ehab Guindi, General Manager of Saudi Xerox, stated: ‘’The main aim behind this initiative was to establish and inspire a culture of voluntary blood donation. The campaign also raised awareness around the importance of regular blood donation and its critical role in saving lives of the sick and injured as they are in a constant state of need.”
“The initiative received a positive response from all Saudi Xerox and Olayan group staff, and a wide cross-section of general public,” added Guindi. Saudi Xerox distributed a range of educational brochures and flyers which included information and statements highlighting the importance of blood donation, emphasizing the benefits of donating blood as well as motivating everyone to participate in positive community services. Moreover, to keep memories of the event, pictures were taken to record the success of the campaign.
Jean-Marc Delpon, President of Consumer Products Division at Olayan Financing Company, also participated in the campaign alongside Ehab Guindi; both were extremely pleased with its success. Guindi has since, announced the continuation of the campaign across other regions in KSA.
