“Empowering Sustainability: Our Pledge to offset Carbon footprint of Our Cutting-Edge Machines at Our Premier Clients’ Facilities.”
In the realm of technological prowess and environmental stewardship, Saudi Xerox stands out as a leading force in Saudi Arabia. Beyond its representation of the globally renowned Xerox brand, the company distinguishes itself through its close ties with the kingdom’s top technological companies, considering them invaluable assets in its business landscape.
Underlining its pledge to valued customers, Saudi Xerox extends its commitment to environmental responsibility through an innovative afforestation initiative. As a cornerstone of its carbon offsetting strategy, Saudi Xerox plans to plant great amount of trees on Abo Ali Island, situated near the Jubail Industrial area, directly addressing the carbon footprint generated by Xerox machines within its customers’ premises.
This visionary project, backed by significant investments from Saudi Xerox, not only seeks to offset carbon emissions but also holds profound implications for society and the economy. As the afforestation initiative gains momentum, it is poised to create numerous employment opportunities for local communities, thereby supporting livelihoods and contributing to economic growth. Beyond its immediate impact, the initiative aims to raise awareness about environmental conservation, instilling a sense of responsibility among citizens and fostering more sustainable practices in their daily lives. In essence, Saudi Xerox’s afforestation strategy emerges as a beacon of sustainable partnership and carbon offset in the ever-evolving landscape of technological innovation.
“We, at Saudi Xerox, are committed to contributing to the Saudi Green Initiative as part of our sustainability program. We are pleased to recognize our customers in the printing business and express our gratitude for their support and partnership. In line with our environmental responsibility, we have decided to offset the carbon footprint generated by our machines by planting trees on their behalf.
To facilitate this endeavor, we are collaborating with the Morooj Foundation, a non-profit government institution established by the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture (MEWA). The Morooj Foundation is dedicated to vegetation cover development and is powered by The National Center for Vegetation Coverage Development.
This initiative aligns with two key environmental initiatives, namely the Saudi Green Initiative and the MENA Green Initiative. We believe that by working together, we can contribute to a more sustainable and environmentally friendly future.” Comments Mehmet Sezer, General Manager of Saudi Xerox.
