ProPaper Dubai 2025 to Spotlight Sustainable Solutions

Industry leaders and innovators are set to gather in Dubai for ProPaper Dubai 2025, the region’s flagship event for the whole value chain of the paper and packaging industry. The three-day event to be held at the premium Festival Arena by InterContinental Dubai Festival City, from 13-15 October 2025, will focus on sustainable innovations and advancements in the sector.
The official opening ceremony, complete with ribbon cutting and a VIP tour, will have H.E. Dr. Maria Hanif Al Qassim, Assistant Undersecretary of Policies and Economic Studies at Ministry of Economy and Tourism, UAE, as the chief guest; with Alia Adnan Al-Marri, Project Coordinator – New Economy Department at Ministry of Economy and Tourism, UAE, as the VIP guest.
The exhibition is expected to draw major players in the industry, including Headline Sponsor Middle East Paper Company (MEPCO), a leading paper and packaging manufacturer from Saudi Arabia. MEPCO has highlighted its commitment to sustainability by showcasing advanced recycling solutions and new production technologies.

Platform for Industry Growth
Described as the ‘most influential paper and packaging industry event’ in the Middle East, ProPaper Dubai serves as a critical networking platform. It brings together leaders from across the paperboard, converting, corrugation, label, and printing sectors to discuss the latest trends and drive new growth strategies.
ProPaper Dubai 2025 will provide the most innovative solutions in paper, packaging, and hygiene, besides relevant technical information under one roof. The event is also conceived as a professional destination and vantage point for global and regional paper and tissue industry players to explore, partner, market, and invest to leverage growth from the increasing demand for paper products in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region.
Star Paper Mill, the event’s Platinum Sponsor, will announce the commissioning of its new $54 million recycled containerboard mill in KEZAD (Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi). The facility was designed with circular economy principles and will use waste paper sourced within the UAE. Star Paper Mill will showcase the project to more than 7,000 trade visitors.

Themed ‘Pulp, Paper & Packaging – future strategies for driving growth in the circular economy’, the comprehensive conference programme will have industry experts delve into a wide range of topics including driving sustainable growth in GCC’s containerboard industry, future investment and growth potential in GCC’s containerboard industry, challenges and opportunities for the containerboard industry in the Middle East, pulp and fibre growth in the Middle East, a sneak peek into the Middle East’s corrugated packaging getting smarter and greener, effective strategies for shaping the future of the Middle East’s tissue industry, next-gen sustainable packaging with focus on plastics free packaging alternatives, paper recycling in the Middle East, advantages of ESG label, among others.
Day two will also include a special plenary session on ‘Make it in the Emirates’ with H.E. Osama Amir Fadhel, Assistant Undersecretary of Industry Accelerators Sector at Ministry of Industry & Advanced Technology, as the chief guest.

ProPaper Dubai 2025 Awards
The trade fair retains its pomp with the ProPaper Dubai 2025 Awards night, recognising the success of companies and industry stalwarts. The award ceremony followed by a gala dinner will be held at the sprawling festival arena. Winners in various award categories shall be selected by a panel of expert judges.
