Packaging And Printing Markets On The Rise

Saudi Plastic & Petrochem 2015 and Saudi Print & Pack 2015 (PPPP 2015) was concluded recently and 9700 visitors descended to Jeddah from all over Middle East as well as other parts of the world to visit the show.

The shows, which were organized by Riyadh Exhibitions Company and held at the Jeddah Center for Forums & Events for the first time and witnessed the participation of more than 300 companies from 19 countries.

The exhibitions were opened by Undersecretary of the Industry Affairs Saleh Al-Salmi and were held with the support of Minister of Commerce and Industry Tawfiq Al-Rabiah.

The shows shed light on the significant investment opportunities being offered by the industry’s sector in the developing local markets. Exhibiting companies confirmed that a number of deals worth billions of riyals were signed during the event.

The Saudi Print and Pack exhibition focused on offerings that ranged from pre-printing and pre-press solutions to stitching and glazing machines, direct digital printing and silk screen printing. Also on show were auditing equipment, paper and other print accessories.

SABIC showcased its range of i products in construction, printing and packaging The company was the diamond sponsor of the exhibition that took place at Jeddah Center for Forums and Events from March 1 to 3.

SABIC also highlighted its technical solutions for key sectors such as transportation, health and consumer appliances, particularly the company’s polymers, synthetic rubber and specialty range, which respond to the sustainability needs of customers.

Mosaed Al-Ohali, SABIC executive vice president, polymers, said that SABIC’s participation reflected its continuing efforts to develop new, innovative solutions to achieve sustainable development.

SABIC displayed its latest technologies, applications, systems and products for the benefit of customers in the Saudi market and to help them develop their manufacturing capabilities, and support Saudi Arabia’s development plans.

“The Saudi plastics markets grew by 5-7 percent, with SABIC being the leading supplier of high quality products and various grades that fulfill customer needs. It also offers technical support and advisory services,” Al-Ohali said.
