Italian manufacturer of label and packaging printers Omet has recorded a steady growth of 10% in machine installations worldwide for the past five years, reaching a milestone of 1500.
At drupa 2016, Omet’s Varyflex V2 Offset 850 attracted huge interest among others like the iFlex, resulting in several orders during the show. The Varyflex V2 Offset 850 is a printing press designed for the world of packaging for the production of small and medium print runs. The press enables printing on all types of support: from thin, 8-micron film and paper to 450-micron card.
Top features include the food-compliance ebeam drying system, which enables printing at a speed of 400 metres a minute.
The iFlex printing press for labels has received great attention for its short web path of 1300mm in narrow web printing.
The machine fills a gap in technology supporting medium to large label converters whose need is to produce in one pass large amounts of standard labels with just-in-time deliveries and decrease process wastage.
