Africa’s Evolving Dairy Packaging Market

The dairy packaging market in Africa is experiencing rapid growth, driven by increasing urbanisation, rising disposable incomes, and the expansion of modern retail and e-commerce. Demand is high for cost-effective and hygienic packaging solutions that can extend the shelf life of dairy products in a diverse and challenging climate. The region’s high temperatures and sometimes underdeveloped cold chain infrastructure are driving demand for aseptic and extended shelf-life solutions. Dairy producers are also introducing new products like fortified milk, functional yogurts, and plant-based alternatives, which require innovative and specialised packaging.
