Saudi Arabia: King Faisal University Launches Online Screen Printing Course
King Faisal University in Al-Ahsa recently Launched a training program titled Screen printing for advertising and decoration between 10 and 12 November 2020. The online training courses will be presented by Dr. Mahmoud Al-Jarhi.
Dr. Muhammad Al-Mulla, Vice Dean of the College of Education and the supervisor of the Educational Consulting unit said that the course aims to introduce different printing processes used for advertising, and the focus of the course will be screen printing, which is ideal for small printing projects and it can be carried out using simple tools, devices and skills. Screen printing can achieve great results for advertising and decoration industry as well as plastic art. Many major large printing houses boast separate department for screen printing operations.
The course will also introduce practical applications of screen printing, as well as necessary tools and materials to implement this popular printing technique as well as the operational steps required including preparing the wooden frame, stretching the mesh and the final printing of the job. Dr. Mahmoud Al-Jarhi has organized a number of technical and artistic courses. He is Associate Professor at the College of Education, Department of Art Education, King Faisal University in Al-Ahsa.
