Printech to be Held in February

The Egyptian Chamber of Printing and Packaging Industries will be organizing ‘Printech Egypt’ exhibition from 7th to 9th February in Cairo. First of its kind, the exhibition will involve printing, packaging and the advertising sector.

The exhibition is held under the support of the Egyptian Chamber of Printing and Packaging Industries, the Faculty of Applied Arts in Helwan university and PETRA. About 45 companies from the printing and packaging industry are expected to attend the event. The exhibition will be held along with Digitech, the first digital printing exhibition of its kind in the Middle East.

Khaled Abdu, Chairman of the Egyptian Chamber of Printing and Packaging Industries, said in a press conference that was held to promote the show: “The aim of the exhibition is to highlight the importance of the Egyptian printing industry and its significance in the Egyptian economy. In addition to that it will exhibit the latest equipments and techniques available in the printing industry.”

He added, “Printech will be attended by around 45 companies, including those from the printing and packaging industry. The printing industry brings in nearly 4.5 billion Egyptian pounds to the economy annually.” He pointed out that representatives from the COMESA member states, including Libya and Sudan will be at the fair to exchange information and identify modern machines.

Dr. George Nubar Simonian, Faculty of Applied Arts added that ‘Digitech’ will be the first digital printing technology exhibition to be held in the Middle East. He pointed out that the exhibition will explore the possibilities and new techniques in digital printing.
