Korea International Printing and Graphic Arts Industry Exhibition (KIPES) is a flagship print industry event in South Korea. Kipes which since 2012 has become a biannual event this year experienced a major change. Parallel to KIPES three other shows including L- label show, K-Pack Show and K-DigiPrint Show took place under one roof in Kintex Exhibition Centre located outside Seoul.
The event held between 27 and 30 August 2014 attracted more than 27000 visitors and 563 buyers from across the world. A host of top notch associations and governmental bodies including Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Korea Trade Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), Korea Printing Technology Association and others sponsored the show. 94 domestic manufacturers and 275 companies from Japan, United States, Germany and China showcased their latest technologies and products.
This year the number of label related exhibitors as well as CTP manufacturers which included Dong Yang Ink, Amsky Korea, Cron Korea, Midas Comtech, S&I Systems, SeilPhotma had increased. This year many exhibitors focused on environmental aspects seminars on Eco printing technologies were also held.
