Jordan’s Fast Print Enters Large Format Printing with Mimaki
Fast Print, Jordan’s commercial printing and packaging company, has invested in a Mimaki UJV100-160 roll to roll LED-UV inkjet printer as part of its future expansion strategy. “The Mimaki UJV 100-160 investment is a one of a kind in Jordan, and opens up new market opportunities for us in large format printing, besides adding a new printing line to our production portfolio,“ says Fast Print Deputy Director Adham Dababneh.
The Mimaki UJV100-160 is a well-balanced entry-level model with excellent operational performance, image quality, speed, and cost. With two newly developed heads, the UJV100-160 has pursued high quality, high productivity, and stable operation as a UV-curable inkjet printer.
In addition to NCU (Nozzle Check Unit) and NRS (Nozzle Recovery System) that automatically detects missing nozzles and replaces the defective ones, and MAPS4 (Mimaki Advanced Pass System4) that reduces banding and uneven colour printing, the UJV100-160 is also equipped with the DAS (Dot Adjustment System), a function that automatically adjusts the dot position and feeding amount affecting the print quality, thereby reducing the workload on the operator.
The machine prints on a wide variety of materials including paper, PET film, and fabric, besides PVC and tarpaulin. Value-added print such as two-layer print using white ink for transparent PET film and clear ink for varnish print can also be handled, making it versatile for producing outdoor signboards, large format posters, banners, labels, wallpapers, roll ups, etc. “One of the printer’s main advantage is its UV-curable ink. Since a drying process is not required, post-processing and sign applying are possible immediately after printing, which shortens production time and improves productivity, allowing us to promptly handle orders of short delivery time,” elaborates Dababneh.
Established in Amman in 1995, the family-owned business provides offset, digital, and flexographic printing, besides pre-press and post-press services to produce an array of products including books and magazines, cartons and packaging, brochures and flyers, business cards, catalogues, wall and desktop calendars, danglers and door hangers, envelopes, folders, menu cards, posters, roll and sheet labels, shelf talkers, wobblers, etc.
“We continue to invest in the latest technology which enables us to offer high-quality lithographic and flexographic, technical typesetting, binding, labelling as well as digital solutions to today’s modern market client,” adds Dababneh.
