John James Langley 1929 – 2021
Langley Holdings, the British multi-disciplinary engineering group and the owner of manroland Sheetfed Company today announced the passing away of holdings’ former director John James Langley. The Announcement reads:
“It is with deep sorrow that the Langley family announces the death of Mr. John James Langley, who passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, 2nd December 2021.
“JJ” joined Langley Holdings plc in 1978 and served as a Director of the company until his retirement in 2014. When he joined the company there were fewer than 20 employees; when he retired, over 4,000. He was a major force in the group’s development in the early years and maintained a keen interest in the company until his death.
The funeral service will be held on 28th December 2021 in Nottinghamshire. The family welcomes anyone that knew Mr. JJ to attend if they so wish.”
Langley Holdings comprises of five divisions, based principally in Germany, France, and the United Kingdom, with a substantial presence in the United States. These divisions are further supported by a world-wide network of subsidiaries in the Americas, Europe, the Far East and Australasia. The group employs approximately 5,000 people worldwide.
