Hong Kong Stationery Exhibition Held

The Hong Kong International Stationery Fair opened this week alongside three other major events at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Organised by Messe Frankfurt and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the Stationery Fair takes place at the same time as The Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair, the Hong Kong Baby Products Fair, and the Asian Licensing Conference. They run from January 6-9.

Around 220 international and local exhibitors from 16 countries and regions have stands for the Stationery Fair. Altogether; nearly 2900 exhibitors will run stands at the four events.

Organisers say the show offers a professional platform for paper, stationery and office supplies industry players to expand their businesses. Fiona Chiew, deputy general manager for Messe Frankfurt Shanghai, says, “In its 14th edition, the Hong Kong International Stationery Fair continues to attract major players in the stationery industry. We will have country and regional pavilions from Korea, Taiwan and Thailand, as well as suppliers from Australia, Chile, the Chinese mainland, France, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Switzerland, UK and the US.

“For easy sourcing, the show is divided into five major theme zones, which are Kids & School, Pen & Paper, Gift Stationery, Smart Office, and DIY Supplies.”

Benjamin Chau, deputy executive director for the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, says, “With the support of international and Hong Kong suppliers as well as international industry associations, the Hong Kong International Stationery Fair has built up a positive reputation worldwide. Many exhibitors return to the show every year to meet potential business partners.”

Hong Kong Yat Lee Printing & Stationery Product Company has exhibited for more than 10 years. Yat Lee’s representative, Cecilia Cheng, says, “The show is a great opportunity to gain exposure and sales revenue. It is also a perfect venue to have business negotiations and establish new contacts.”

Khun Suporn Charoenwattananon, of the Thai Stationeries & Office Supplies Association, says, “The show is a gateway for our participants to promote their products to visitors from different continents. It enhances direct communication between suppliers and buyers and creates potential sales as a result.”
