Heidelberg ME Announced Regional Partnership With Ricoh
Ricoh and Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG in 2011 announced a global strategic cooperation which enabled Heidelberg to sell Ricoh’s latest color digital press, the Ricoh ProTM C901 Graphic Arts Edition – Ricoh`s high speed color digital press with Ricoh PxPTM Chemical toner, as well as appropriate future production printing offerings in Ricoh’s pipeline. The global strategic cooperation, which includes Ricoh services and support, started in April 2011.
The agreement now has been extended to Middle East. According to Heidelberg Middle East The partnership with Ricoh is a strategic decision to cater for the needs of its existing customers and to address the growing demand for short runs, variable data and quick turnaround digital printing.
More than 400 Heidelberg Linoprint digital printing systems has already been sold worldwide. The company is working closely with its Japanese partner Ricoh to broaden its offerings for this sector in the near future.
Heidelberg Middle East appointed Mohammed Sadeq as Business Development Manager to build up digital business in the region. Mohammed Sadeq has a rich industry background with a successful track record in the digital print industry.
