Heidelberg Introduces The LED UV Solutions In The Middle East
Heidelberg introduced the DryStar LED system in the Middle East during a customer seminar that was held at Le Meridien Dubai Airport on October 12th, 2015. The event was attended by a number of customers who showed their interest in the leading UV technology.
The seminar was organized by Heidelberg Druckmaschinen AG and by Heidelberg Middle East with the participation of Dr. Ali Makari from the Market Center and conducted by Mr. Martin Zibold, LED UV specialist from the Sheetfed Product Management.
Zibold explained about the most valuable features of LED UV and what makes the DryStar LED system so unique: Full integration with the Heidelberg Prinect Press Center, High power LED Diodes, Special designed lens technology – Direct Focus System, Instant on – off system and auto format setting.
Mazen El Tibi – Member of the board, Heidelberg Middle explained that the DryStar system takes the production process one step ahead: “You will get the highest curing efficiency with the highest energy saving, all without compromising on the speed of your offset press. With the all integrated Heidelberg Prinect and Service support tools, you can print with LED UV at the maximum speed of the machine; environmental friendly – Ozone and Mercury free and with no IR heat radiation”.
Roger Nicodeme – General Manager, Sales added that standardized commercial and web to print printers will benefit initially from the UV LED leading technology. “Customers who focus on the short runs, 4 and 5 colors straight and perfecting jobs, with or without coating have increasing needs faster and efficient drying. Those print shops will position themselves as technology leaders and deliver to their clients dry products with attractive effects”.
LED UV uses long life high power diodes with no reflectors which makes it much easier and more user friendly for the operators.
