Minister of Culture and Youth HE Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi affirmed that the UAE has succeeded in developing a distinguished media sector that, with its professional and creative experiences acquired over the years, has been able to lead the regional and global media scene. The sector has enabled the state to be a suitable environment for major international media institutions and companies.
The minister said that Abu Dhabi’s hosting of the first edition of the Global Media Congress 2022 from 15-17 November, 2022, confirms the UAE’s position and leadership on the media work map and further supports its presence, especially since this event provides a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experiences between the various regional and international media outlets and reviews the latest methods and best practices. Al Kaabi also stressed on how the exhibition would open new and more prospects for cooperation and partnership between major media institutions that look to benefit from entering new markets in the GCC and MENA regions.
Several key topics and issues would be discussed during the three-day event including communication and digital technology, the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on contemporary media, and the integration of advanced technologies and innovation in the media sector.
The mega event will also be a hive of activity with AI sessions, innovation talks, live pitches, panel debates, product launches, and workshops. A number of specialized sessions in the fields of print and broadcast journalism, and social media will also be held on the sidelines of the event.
