The second step of the bilateral sectoral meetings between Italy and Germany, promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in collaboration with the German Ministry of Economy and Energy, together with Italian and German associations is an initiative aimed at creating privileged dialogue opportunities between Italian and German industries within specific trade fairs.

In addition, Future Factory 2021 has almost thirty international media partners, further enhancing that vocation toward export that has always characterized the companies in the industry: in 2020, despite the difficulties of the pandemic, the Italian industry in the sector confirmed to be the third largest exporter in the world (behind China and Germany), with a market share of 10%.

“Future Factory is a network opportunity, which this year will take place thinking about a new start,” says Andrea Briganti, General Manager of Acimga. After 2020, which was a very difficult year for our companies, the first six months of 2021 recorded a 67.1% growth in orders compared to the same period of the previous year (+76.2% domestic orders, +64% foreign orders), while turnover marked a +21.4%, standing at a value of 1.4 billion. Those are very positive and comforting signs, which leave us with the hope to return to pre-covid levels within the year.”

“The claim of this new 2021 edition of Future Factory is the future at human service,” continues Briganti, “a claim that wants to underline, in this specific global context, the need to reposition the human being at the centre of the scene. Since industry 4.0 means that human skills are enhanced both in the design phase of production systems and machinery, and in the data processing phase, these are skills that evolve. And at Future Factory we’ll discuss on how they evolve.”
