Emirates Writers Union and the Cultural Programs Management Committee Strengthen Ties

The Abu Dhabi Cultural and Heritage Festivals and Programs Management Committee has signed an agreement with the Emirates Writers and Writers Union to, strengthen joint cooperation ties between two, and serve the broad base of writers, writers and intellectuals in the United Arab Emirates. The agreement was signed by Issa Saif Al Mazrouei, Vice Chairman of the Committee for the Management of Festivals and Cultural and Heritage Programs, and Salha Abid Ghabsh, Secretary General of the Emirates Writers and Writers Union, at the Committee’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi, in the presence of Sultan Al Amimi, Chairman of the Emirates Writers and Writers Union. Issa Saif Al Mazrouei said that the signing of the memorandum of cooperation with the Emirates Writers and Writers Union comes within the framework of implementing the directives of the UAE leadership for joint cooperation with various public and private sectors and civil society institutions in the country.

Al Mazrouei pointed out that the most important common goal that unites the two parties is to improve while supplying the UAE libraries with more cultural, literary and poetic books. For his part, Sultan Al Amimi said that the signing of the cooperation agreement is part of the series of agreements between the Federation and the cultural institutions in the country. The focus of This agreement is primarily the poetry. Both parties will work to enhance the presence of Emirati poetry in the cultural scene especially the coveted Million’s Poet and the Prince of Poets awards.
