Egypt’s Alamiria Presses Launches New Website
The General Authority for Alamiria Presses in Egypt has launched a new website (http://www.alamiria.com/en-us/Pages/default.aspx) on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of its establishment. The new website designed to meet the new challenges of printing industry and to keep pace with the Egypt’s move towards digitization.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Alamiria Presses, Ashraf Imam, said in a statement that the new website, offers information about legal issues and rulings as reference for judges, lawyers and all legal departments, companies, journalists and media professionals. The site is updated daily to include all the latest legal information.
Ashraf Imam described Alamiria Presses as the beacon of thought, culture and education. It is the only government agency entrusted with printing all government documents. Alamiria is equipped with state-of-the-art printing equipment and always strives to keep pace with the latest printing technologies including a new Braille printing equipment.
Alamiria Presses is one of the oldest Egyptian institutions, which was established in 1820 under the name of Bulaq Press. in 1956 the name of the press was changed to the General Authority for Alamiria Presses. Alamiria printed its firs book in 1822 titled Dyeing Silk.
