EDP Award Goes To Konica Minolta’s Bizhub PRESS C1070
For the second year running, Konica Minolta has received an award from the renowned European Digital Press Association (EDP). The bizhub PRESS C1070 has beaten the competition this year to win in the “Best cut-sheet colour printer – light production” category.
The EDP Association counts 20 of Europe’s leading digital print magazines as its members and reaches more than half a million readers. During a special EDP General Assembly, representatives of all the member magazines – including digital print specialists, journalists, technical consultants and industry representatives – discussed the quality of the products that had been submitted for the award. Finally they decided which product deserved an EDP trophy. Decision criteria included aspects such as value to the user, customer support and services.
“Having won EDP Awards in 2009, 2011 and 2013, we are delighted to have impressed the jury again this year with our bizhub PRESS C1070. We are pleased that our ongoing objective of creating outstanding products that offer our customers substantial added value is gaining international approval. Our aim is to build on this success by evolving our portfolio and impressing our customers with a consistently strong performance,” comments Karl-Friedrich Edenhuizen, Product Manager, Production Printing Group, International Marketing Division.
The bizhub PRESS C1070 for digital colour printing brings power, performance and simplicity to any production print application. It combines output speeds of up to 71 pages per minute with familiar PC-like operation features, such as a hand-held mouse, and a large 15-inch colour touch-screen display.
