CUPSA Installs High-volume Canon Press to Meet Demand
Saudi paper cup manufacturer Jawhra Alawraq Factory Co. (CUPSA) has successfully installed Canon ImagePRESS V1350. The investment comes in the wake of high demand for quality disposable paper cups in Saudi Arabia. This is the second such installation of the Al Khobar-headquartered company, following the first one in March 2024.
The imagePRESS V1350 is fast, durable, high-quality, and high-volume digital colour press. It maximises throughput with production speeds of up to 135 ppm (letter), supports a wide range of media with print quality of up to 2400 x 2400 dpi, ensures consistent printing colour by using the in-line spectrophotometer (ILS) sensor to automatically adjust colours and correct colours with the multi-DAT colour correction mechanism, and produces high-quality materials with front to back registration, an efficient cooling unit, and air vacuum feed input technology.
“This achievement reflects the trust and confidence our valued customers have in Canon. With the imagePRESS V1350, we are redefining the market in the Eastern Region. Over the past 15 months, we’ve successfully installed 15 units in Dammam and Al Khobar alone, a testament to our product’s performance and reliability,” says Muhammad Shaaban, Pro Print Account Manager, Canon EMEA.
CUPSA’s strategic location and proximity to Al Khobar port enables it to deliver products to a wide array of markets within a short lead time. The company also invests heavily in research and development to provide innovative products.
