BOBST, Technology Partners Shape Algerian Packaging Future

BOBST and its leading technology partners brought together key players from Algeria’s flexible packaging, label production, and converting sectors for BOBST & Leading Partners Roadshow 2026 — Algeria, held on 29 September 2026 in Sétif.

Held under the theme ‘Shaping the Future of Sustainable Flexible Packaging & Label Production’, the event provided a platform for the Algerian packaging industry to exchange insights on market developments, alongside discovering the latest technologies and discussing the challenges and opportunities shaping packaging production.

The event brought together BOBST, Aisa, Brückner Maschinenbau, Esko, Rossini, and Sun Chemical with each partner contributing its own expertise and perspective across different stages of the packaging value chain.

Market Focused on Efficiency, Flexibility, and Sustainability

The discussions highlighted the transformation taking place in Algeria’s packaging industry. Converters are increasingly seeking solutions that enable increased productivity, improved quality, optimised costs, and meeting growing sustainability expectations, all while responding more quickly to changing market requirements.

“Algerian converters are increasingly looking for technologies that combine productivity, sustainability, and flexibility. This is creating strong opportunities for innovation across both flexible packaging and labels,” says Manuel Cortizo Pichel, General Manager & Region Services Director at BOBST Africa, Middle East, Turkey, and Caucasus.

The event also underlined the growing importance of digitalisation, automation, and connectivity in helping packaging producers optimise their processes, reduce waste, and improve operational efficiency.
