Big Buyer to Showcase Novel Stationery Products

Big Buyer is getting ready for its 27th edition, a showcase of excellence for buyers in the international stationery and office trade fair, scheduled from 8-10 November, 2023, at BolognaFiere exhibition centre, will also be dynamic, interactive, and full of new ideas this year.

As a regular event for trade operators, it gives wholesalers, office suppliers, retailers, purchasing managers of specialised distribution chains, large scale distribution buyers, and e-commerce managers the opportunity to discover novelties and organise their 2024 sales campaigns in advance. Reflecting on the successful event, many exhibitors from previous editions have reconfirmed their participation, with some new entries already included in the portfolio and others on the way.

The success of the event lies on the quality of exhibitors. Top brands and all leading Italian and foreign companies will showcase their best-selling products and exclusive previews for the forthcoming season. Mariella Nasi Pfeiffer, organiser and founder of the event, says, “Big Buyer is a privileged occasion for direct interaction among trade operators. It gives them the chance to seek each other out and meet, develop constructive meetings, consolidate relations, and update their professional knowledge in an environment focused on offering real development opportunities while identifying the needs of the entire supply chain and fostering cooperation between the production, distribution, and retail sectors.”

Workshops and Special Areas

The innovative COLORTEC Lab, back for the second year running, is dedicated to creativity. This initiative, curated by Bologna’s Arcangeli Art School, aims to promote the products of exhibitors, with artistic demonstrations that will give stationers the opportunity to test the potential of tools.

In addition, there will be absolute novelties such as DIGITECH Point, a retailer-friendly workshop in cooperation with Roland DG that will enable retailers in the stationery and office sector to embrace new ways of providing customised in-store services, materials and products, which can make a real difference for POS.

The workshops will also include another brand-new event, the ‘Christmas Window Display’, reserved for operators in the traditional retail sector, which enhances the pleasure of manual skills and creativity.

Stationers will therefore be able to acquire many new ideas for setting up their best window display, which will be awarded the ‘Big Buyer Academy 2023’ 1st edition plaque.

Lastly, there will be special areas such as ‘Design, Form &Functionality’ to highlight high-quality exhibits by assigning the ‘Top Design Award’ to the most innovative office product. Moreover, the ‘Green Area’, dedicated to eco-sustainability and now firmly embedded at Big Buyer, will focus on exhibitors’ items with requirements and certifications that respect the environment.

Conferences and Culture

Big Buyer has always been a permanent observatory on various market trends. This goal is pursued with commitment and is part of a conference programme on topics of general interest, including school-industry relations, the state of the art, and areas for development in cooperation with Federcartolai, the Rome-headquartered association that represents and works for the qualitative growth of stationers.

Moreover, for the first time, the importance of the arrival of e-commerce at stationers will be addressed, with all the advantages or eventual limitations for the entire supply chain.
