The 5th edition of Agropack, a key event for Algeria’s agri-food and packaging sectors, will take place from 2-5 February 2026 at the Exhibition Centre, Pins Maritimes – SAFEX in Algiers. Organised by CG Com Event, the four-day exhibition is designed as a business-boosting platform to foster international networking, develop partnerships, and enhance productivity within the region’s burgeoning packaging and agricultural industries.
The event provides exhibitors with a crucial opportunity to display products and services to an international audience, facilitating meetings aimed at expanding customer portfolios and comparing state-of-the-art technologies for optimising production processes.
Industry Focus and Key Themes
Agropack 2026 will cover four primary segments: agri-food, packaging and conditioning, agriculture, and related equipment and services.
The dedicated packaging section will highlight a comprehensive range of materials and technologies, including paper, cardboard, and plastics raw materials and consumables; bottles, caps, and boxes; various packaging solutions; and flexo printing applications for diverse materials like paper, cardboard, aluminium, and plastics.
A significant feature of the expo is its conference programme, where industry experts will present insights on the evolving governmental regulations in the agri-food sector, commercial and economic aspects of the industry, and innovative technological solutions.

Algeria’s Evolving Packaging Market
The expo is timely, given the increasing strategic importance of packaging in the Algerian market. While the global packaging industry generates average sales exceeding 500 billion euros – with 60% linked to the agri-food sector – significant disparities exist in consumption patterns worldwide.
In Algeria, the local packaging companies are increasingly recognising the pivotal role of packaging in influencing consumer preferences. With intense competition from foreign food products, a strong emphasis is being placed on the visual appeal and functionality of packaging to build consumer relations.
Approximately 20% to 30% of Algeria’s small and medium enterprises (SMEs) specialise in the paper and packaging sector, underscoring the local relevance and potential for growth that events like Agropack aim to stimulate. The evolution of packaging from a mere protective and informative function to that of a ‘silent salesman’ is a key driver in the market’s current development phase.
Opening hours: 10 am – 6 pm (all days).
