Fast Printing Mulls Investment in Narrow Web Technology

Fast Print, one of the leading offset, digital and narrow web (label) printing service providers in Amman, Jordan recently relocated its headquarter to Al Fuheis, which is only 15 minutes away from their previous location, “ Bayader Wadi Al Seer” and about 10 kilometers from the heart of Amman.

Fast Print hopes the move will help its customers, as the access to the location is easier and poses fewer headaches. Adham Dababneh, company’s deputy director is excited about the new location, as the new offices are more spacious (some offices are over 300 square meters with easy access to all departments) and less prone to noise because Al Fuheis is considered a quiet neighbourhood.

However Dababneh is less than thrilled about the printing market in Jordan. “The market is not stable and a blend of stiff competition and continuous price pressure is posing serious challenges for printers,” he comments and adds that the unrest in Syria also exasperate the situation even further. “We had a couple of suppliers based in Syria and before the recent uprising we were able to get the consumables within a day or two from them. But now doing business with Syria is much more difficult.”

Nevertheless and despite all the challenges Fast Print is confident about the future. The company plans to invest in narrow web technology for label production. “We believe the key to a secure future is diversification. That’s why we are planning to tap into the lucrative label printing market. Our clients also demand more diverse services from us,” concludes Adham Dababneh from Fast Print.
