Turkey: Kodak Awards First Certified Partner
Turkey’s largest converter Korozo Ambalaj Sanayii ve Ticaret A.S, based in Istanbul, has been awarded as Kodak’s First Certified Partner for Turkey and Middle East. The Istanbul based company invested in the KODAK FLEXCEL NX System in 2013 and has utilized the plate technology to achieve gravure-quality print for the first time across a variety of substrates including flexible packaging, foil, film, paper, plastic bags, labels and envelopes. In doing so it has seen immediate results, enhancing its Ultra HD Flexo Printing operations and enabling it to further strengthen its global credentials and international relationships.
Achieving Certified Partner status demonstrates to printers and brand owners that KODAK FLEXCEL NX Plates produced by certified providers are made to a standard Kodak global specification, representing a feature set that drives industry-leading efficiency, stability, and quality in print. It is a benchmark for quality and efficiency that reflects the high standards of the customer operations and the product being produced, and is supported by comprehensive data measurement and recommendations from satisfied clients.
Commenting on receiving the endorsement, Aslan Kilic, PrePress Manager at Korozo said: “We are delighted to be the first Turkish company to receive this accolade from Kodak. The certification is a testament to the high standards we have in our operations and production and shows that Kodak confirms the quality of our production as a business partner. The Turkish print market is an exciting industry to be part of and through the certification we are proud to be at the forefront trailblazing the Kodak technology for our customers.”
Komal Sharma, Cluster Director for Emerging Geographies, EAMER at Kodak said:
“By working with companies that have achieved Certified Partner status, all partners in the production chain can be assured that they are receiving a product that is manufactured to a global specification. The KODAK FLEXCEL NX System sets new standards in efficiency, stability and quality of flexo printing and Korozo’s success in the short time since investing in the system is testament to the positive influence the technology can have on a business.
“Consisting of a KODAK FLEXCEL NX Imager which uses KODAK SQUARESPOT Imaging Technology to offer outstanding process quality and control, the system works by applying a highly dense flat structure to the plate while it is completely isolated from oxygen. This stable dot structure produces consistently high quality prints and, combined with operational efficiencies such as excellent ink transfer, minimal downtime between jobs, longer run length capacity and plate lifespan, reduced waste and set-up time, has resulted in a digital flexo plate imaging solution that provides exceptional results.”
Elaborating on the positive impact this has had for Korozo, Killic continues:
“The KODAK FLEXCEL NX System has demonstrably improved the quality of our flexo printing through the improvement of sharp details, intense colors, high contrasts and consistency in print quality. Our decision to invest in Kodak plate technology over its competitors was made in part due to positive customer feedback and undoubtedly by highlighting the quality of our plates the certification is in turn supporting our role as leaders in a competitive market place.”
