Xerox To Offer MPS To Dubai World Trade Centre
Harnessing market trends and to lead the industry in the Middle East region in the most sustainable way, Dubai world Trade centre(DWTC) sought to increase the efficiency of their IT services and hardware options by changing their print equipment from standalone printers to centralized solutions. The goal was to cut IT costs, maximize spend management efficiency, enhance additional services as well as to improve awareness and productivity of over 800 end users in 4 locations.
DWTC reached out to Xerox Emirates to discuss print management and printing optimization solutions. After 6 months of testing and evaluation, Xerox was chosen to be the provider of Managed Print Services.
Xerox Emirates worked closely with DWTC for 20 months to understand internal processes of each department and discussed optimal solutions with end users to achieve their IT targets.
A two phase migration plan was developed to ensure all major challenges were resolved. Control of costs was critical across multiple service areas throughout the organization, including spending on servicing, maintenance, consumables and paper inventory, standard print policy to support security and environmental goals, and a unified equipment support process.
The consolidation process involved replacing 316 costly standalone devices from various vendors with 112 Xerox color and monochrome multifunctional devices. chosen to best meet requirements of each department.
Mobile working was also enhanced with the FollowMe printing option and a centralized service desk to support all print related matters.
Monitoring and reporting solutions including provision of billing per service area allowed easy control and management of costs.
DWTC is expecting to reduce the total cost of printing and copying by 25%
