Canon Emirates Grows Print Solutions Business in Hospitality Industry

Canon Emirates, a subsidiary of Canon Middle East, has been appointed as the exclusive printing solutions provider for the global hospitality brand, Fairmont The Palm. The deal is the first signing of its kind for Canon Emirates with a major hotel in UAE.

Fairmont The Palm has signed a five-year Managed Print Services (MPS) contract with Canon Emirates covering the management of its hardware and service solutions required by the hotel.

“The management of print services (MPS) is an effective way to lower print costs, heighten productivity and improve the security of business-critical information. Our customers are increasingly seeing the value we can contribute to their enterprise in addition to providing innovative print solutions,” said Naoshi Yamada, Deputy Managing Director, Canon Middle East.

“Canon’s products, solutions and professional services are the best in the industry, and also help customers save on costs through their efficiency,” said Shadi Bakhour, General Manager, Canon Emirates. “With our ultimately advanced technology, Fairmont The Palm can capitalize on Canon’s years of intensive research and development in digital colour imaging and document reproduction to make sure great value under supreme efficiency is being delivered.”

“Fairmont The Palm was approached at an initial stage during its pre-opening office, and so we studied the estimated volume and understood their requirements for the different departments, to give off a competitive variety of machines that suits their different needs,” added Bakhour.

The range supplied to the hotel includes Black & White office MFPs, Color Office MFPs, high-end Black & White MFPs and one light production colour machine.

Bakhour also pointed to the increased need for printing solutions in the hospitality industry in the UAE. “This year, Canon Emirates has identified the UAE hospitality industry as a key area for business growth. There is a lot of potential for our printing business to grow in this sector, given the printing and document management requirements involved in their operations,” he added.
