Simac Tanning Tech to Showcase New Printing Solutions
Simac Tanning Tech, the international event featuring manufacturers of machines and technologies for the footwear, leather goods, and tanning industries is taking place in Milan, concurrently with the niche events of Lineapelle.
To be held from 20 to 22 September, 2022, at Fiera Milano, the exhibition is the ideal place to find some of the best products and technologies in the footwear, leather, and tanning sectors including footwear and leather goods machinery, technology, and accessories; CAD-CAM; die machines; die/continuous cutting machines; sewing machines; last-making machines; upper/sole lasting machines; footwear component machines; shoe repairing machinery; moulds and chemical products; tanning machinery, accessories, and chemicals; waste-water depuration plants; lab-testing equipment; and engineering.
A key event for the leather industry since 1973, Simac Tanning Tech offers a great international visibility to sector companies and a wide accessibility to visitors coming from all over the world.
As an important component to tanneries and leather service providers wanting to broaden their offering and stay ahead of trends, printer manufacturers are putting up stalls, displaying their latest products and solutions for the footwear and leather industry.
Belgium major Agfa will be showcasing their inkjet expertise with the latest version of Alussa, a unique printing solution for genuine leather. Relying on UV inkjet technology, Alussa offers distinct advantages such as the ability to create unique and stunning prints in any quantity, any design, and in any colour at any time as leather decoration options. “Our EDP award-winning Alussa inkjet printing solution accomplishes a true synergy between ink and leather. Developed in close cooperation with the leather industry, it produces stunning photorealistic prints on genuine leather of any colour, while retaining the leather’s flexibility and rub resistance,” says Dieter Jancart, Business Manager Alussa Leather Printing at Agfa Graphics.
Canon Italia is setting stall, ready to exhibit the latest and most innovative solutions with its one-of-a-kind products. The award-winning, next-gen Canon Colorado 1650 roll to roll printer with low environmental impact UVgel technology is for large format printing directly on synthetic leather to produce high-quality furnishing and fashion accessories with razor-sharp prints in a wide colour gamut. Besides flexible UVgel inks, the FLXfinish+ technology produces prints that combine a matte and a gloss finish without an extra varnish channel.
Spain-based digital printer maker Imprimo will be displaying its Minibaby Shoes UV LED, the first shoe printer in the market. The machine allows printing directly on any material used for shoe production without any treatment, and with great durability and cost-effectiveness. The printer’s HS technology enables it to personalize all types of footwear and print on the uneven surface of a finished shoe. Also on display will be the Imprimo Laser LS Medium engraving and cutting printer. The printer’s CCD camera for OPOS reading is capable of automatically detecting the cutting marks on the materials with an optional rotary system that can be included to engrave and cut 360° cylindrical objects.
The annual, three-day show, reserved for trade professionals only, is organised by Assomac Servizi Srl, the operational arm of ASSOMAC, the National Association of Technology Manufacturers for Footwear, Leather Goods and Tannery.
