As part of its publishing programme, the Sharjah Art Foundation (SAF) has released a set of new books and publications for the year 2020, which includes studies on leading artists from the UAE and the MENA region, and intellectual and critical research that addresses pressing issues in contemporary art, in addition to publications related to artistic initiatives and events organised by SAF.
Sheikha Hoor bint Sultan Al Qasimi, President and Director of the Sharjah Art Foundation, explained that the Foundation’s publishing programme is one of the primary means of cooperating with artists, curators and institutions from around the world, to produce books and publications that enhance the presence and impact of SAF’s artistic initiative, such as the Sharjah Biennial and its year- round exhibitions, and to highlight the contributions made by influential artists by offering in-depth studies on their creative career, manifestations and position.
