Screen has announced that the Screen Truepress Jet L350UV+LM placed first in the ‘Best Label Printer’ category at the European Digital Press Association (EDP) Annual Awards, held at FESPA 2018. Twenty one leading trade magazines with an editorial focus on digital print processes from all over Europe, covering twenty-seven countries and reaching more than half a million readers in Europe, selected the winners for quality and innovation in technologies for the digital printing industry. Criteria such as achievement, quality and costs were deciding factors.
Since its commercial release in parallel with Labelexpo in September 2017, the Truepress Jet L350UV+LM continues to break barriers with its world-class speeds and productivity. The press uses newly developed low migration (low permeability) inks that offer enhanced safety and unrivalled levels of functionality to food packaging label production.
Building on the success of the Truepress Jet L350UV, Screen’s first venture in label presses and now with over 100 units shipped worldwide, the L350UV+LM press delivers industry-leading, reliable print speeds of up to 60 meters per minute. Furthermore, the digital inkjet press enables the reproduction of a wider colour gamut by adding support for a special orange ink to conventional CMYK and white inks.
