Koenig & Bauer scoops Prizes at 4th German Stevie Awards
Koenig & Bauer scooped two awards at this year’s German Stevie Awards ceremony at the famous Adlon Hotel in Berlin. The printing press manufacturer won a Gold Stevie Award for its product campaign “Built for your needs. The B2 presses.” in the category Marketing Campaign of the Year Agriculture / Industry / Construction and a Silver Stevie Award for Communication or PR campaign of the Year in the field of Marketing / Business to Business. Koenig & Bauer has thus won this prestigious German business award for the second year in a row.
Thomas Göcke, head of sheetfed marketing and CRM at Koenig & Bauer in Radebeul, is pleased: “This award means a great deal to us. It shows that a 200-year-old company is able to produce superior marketing campaigns and present conventional printing presses in an emotionally appealing way.”
Koenig & Bauer started the “Built for your needs. The B2 presses.” campaign in 2017 and with it the press manufacturer treads new paths in product communication. Customer-oriented content with added value and an authentic customer approach serve to create an integrated brand and product image. Media use within the campaign bridges the divide between the analogue and digital worlds, stages common experiences, prompts emotions and provides information in an entertaining manner.
Anja Hagedorn, marketing manager at Koenig & Bauer, pinpoints the success of the campaign in a single sentence: “It is not the sale which stands in the foreground, but the customer and his individual needs instead.“ At the end of last year the Marketing Club Dresden awarded Koenig & Bauer with the Dresden Marketing Prize in recognition of its outstanding B2B campaign.
The German Stevie Awards commends German companies of any size, public and private organizations as well as individuals in over 80 different categories. It was founded in 2002 and today is one the world’s most renowned business prizes.
