HP Bolsters Saudi Arabia’s Tech Ambitions with New Facilities

In a move to bolster Saudi Arabia’s position as a regional technology hub, tech giant HP has launched a manufacturing facility in Riyadh and has confirmed its new Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Research & Development (R&D) Center of Excellence (CoE) in Dhahran.
The inauguration, which follows an announcement at the LEAP 2025 conference, is a key component of HP’s strategic investment in the Kingdom, aligning with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
The Dhahran center is designed to accelerate AI innovation and deliver solutions tailored for customers across multiple sectors, including energy, healthcare, logistics, and smart cities.

Key Initiatives & Goals
The CoE will focus on AI-driven solutions to enhance business operations through data analysis, robotic process automation, and advanced decision-making capabilities.
HP is committed to investing in the local workforce through educational partnerships with Saudi institutions. The CoE will provide training programmes, workshops, and hands-on projects to develop local talent and nurture the next generation of AI experts.
Dual Investment in KSA
The opening of the Dhahran AI center coincides with HP’s commencement of operations at a new manufacturing facility in Riyadh. The factory, which began production with the HP EliteDesk AI PC, is a ‘Made in Saudi’ initiative that aims to improve product availability and customise experiences for consumers in the region.

Vision 2030 Alignment
The investment in both a manufacturing plant and an R&D center underscores HP’s commitment to supporting Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, a blueprint for economic diversification and technological advancement. “At HP, we are proud to partner, to enable the future of work, by creating high quality jobs for Saudi citizens and contribute meaningfully to the national economy,” says Fadle Saad, Managing Director, HP KSA.
