FHT Paris Showcases DigiTech & CSR Solutions
The culinary city of Paris is open arms, welcoming visitors from all around the world to Food Hotel Tech (FHT), the much-awaited tech and eco-responsible hospitality exhibition. The two-day expo which opens today (14 March) at Paris Expo, Porte de Versailles (Hall 5), is the leading innovation exhibition dedicated to the hotel and restaurant industry.
After five editions in Paris and three in Nice, the 2023 event is comparatively bigger, expecting over 8,000 visitors who will discover 250 exhibitors and over 60 startups. The Paris show allows hotel and restaurant owners, managers, and hospitality and tourism professionals to feel the pulse of the market, get a complete overview of all the technological and digital tools, and learn best practices from early adopters of new products and services.
New Jersey-headquartered international POS solutions provider Star Micronics is showcasing its latest solutions for the hospitality POS, mobile ordering, food labelling, and self-service kiosk applications at FHT 2023. With recent growth in online orders across multiple channels along with increased allergic legislation, Star’s latest cloud-enabled mC-Label printer provides an environmentally friendly solution for printing customer orders for takeaway, delivery, as well as item labelling. “Star’s unique POS solutions can facilitate the creation of new revenue streams, whilst allowing businesses to accommodate potentially large numbers of customers ordering food and drinks from multiple locations,“ states Simon Martin, Director & General Manager, Star Micronics EMEA.
A series of conferences and round tables led by industry experts to decipher the issues, major trends, and practical solutions concerning the industry, will also be spread out during the two days. A slew of sustainable and digital solutions for a variety of needs including administrative & HR, big data & personalization, business intelligence, connected products, energy management, food labelling, hospitality POS, inventory management, marketing & communication, mobile ordering, online reservations, property management systems, recycling & circular economy, reduction of carbon footprint, revenue management, tactile menus & terminals, training & e-learning, and WiFi are on offer.
Attendees can also visit Europe’s largest startup village dedicated to hospitality where they can discover the cream of innovation and meet the creators of solutions that are shaping the future of businesses. FHT also doubles up as the perfect platform for networking, where professionals from the hospitality industry can meet and benefit from the experience of their colleagues.
Bernard Boutboul, President of Paris-based restaurant consultants Gira says, “It’s the best place to get the message across that digital is essential.” Pauline Oster, Director of Management Operations at Paris-based international hotel group Accor, adds, “The show is really a forerunner in digitalization, services, startups, it’s a business gas pedal.”
The show will also be punctuated by the 6th FHT Innovation Award, acknowledging the best innovative presentations, and the 3rd FHT Startup Awards, rewarding two most promising startups in the hotel and restaurant categories.
