ERA’s Annual Conference this year will be held in two countries: on 24 September in Strasbourg, France and on the following day in Offenburg, Germany. The theme of the event “The new communication world – social media, online publishing & print” points out the challenges for gravure printing.
The first day of the event will be in Strasbourg, from where the participants will go to nearby Kehl to visit the headquarters of ERA member Dalim Software, a successful provider of modern productivity workflow and communication software. The conference on the second day in Offenburg will take place in the media tower of Burda, one of the largest European media houses, which has successfully developed from a gravure printer and magazine publisher into a media group with activities in publishing, print and online. In his presentation, Dr Paul-Bernhard Kallen, CEO of Burda Media, will reflect this by highlighting the “Future of Media”.
As Strasbourg is the official seat of the European Parliament the conference will also discuss the economic scenery, and the prominent economist Prof Hans-Werner Sinn of Ludwig-Maximilian University of Munich will raise in a keynote Europe’s current challenges and expectations. Members of the ERA, colleagues from the industry and all interested friends of our industry are invited to join this year’s ERA Annual Conference in Strasbourg and Offenburg.
