Brother to Present New DTRX DTF System Live at FESPA 2026

Following its official announcement, Brother Industries is now unveiling further details of the Brother DTRX, its new industrial direct-to-film (DTF) printing solution. The system will be presented live at the upcoming FESPA Global Print Expo 2026 in Barcelona, where visitors will be able to experience the printer in full production mode.
Developed for professional print service providers operating in medium- to high-volume environments, the DTRX has been engineered to address one of the most pressing challenges in today’s DTF market: the demand for true industrial reliability combined with consistent, high-quality output.
Built on Industrial Expertise
The DTRX builds on Brother’s decades of experience in industrial and direct-to-garment (DTG) printing. A core advantage lies in the seamless integration between Brother’s in-house developed industrial printhead technology and specially formulated sustainable inks, also designed by Brother for the DTRX system.
This synergy ensures precise droplet placement, sharp detail, and vivid colour reproduction across long production runs. With a print width of 78 cm, supported by an 80 cm roll width, the printer enables stable large-format DTF production while offering adjustable performance modes to match speed and quality to specific application needs.
Designed according to Brother’s strict industrial standards, the DTRX features a robust construction suitable for continuous operation in demanding environments.
All-in-One Solution with Integrated Adhesive Curing Unit
The DTRX can be delivered as a complete, all-in-one solution including a fully integrated adhesive curing unit. This ensures a streamlined workflow from printing to powder application and curing within a coordinated system.
The curing unit features a large adhesive powder reservoir designed to support uninterrupted production and reduce the need for frequent refilling. A powerful HEPA and activated carbon filtration system contributes to a cleaner working environment by effectively managing airborne particles and odours.
Infrared curing technology ensures even and reliable melting of the adhesive powder, supporting excellent wash resistance, strong bonding performance, and a soft, consistent hand feel of the finished transfer. The integration of these components enhances process stability while maintaining industrial-level efficiency.
Reduced Downtime, Maximum Stability
Maintenance is one of the most common challenges in the DTF sector, particularly when working with white ink. The DTRX directly addresses this with an industrial-grade maintenance station featuring automatic ink circulation and a wet wiper cleaning system. This significantly reduces operator intervention, minimises downtime, and maintains consistent colour and print quality over extended production cycles.
The system has undergone extensive validation, both in Brother’s internal testing facilities and at selected customer sites operating under real production conditions, confirming its durability and stability in industrial environments.
New Warranty Benchmark in DTF
In addition to its engineering strength, the DTRX stands out in the market through its comprehensive warranty structure – something that is far from common in the DTF segment.
Brother provides a warranty that covers the printer for 1,920 operating hours or one year and the printheads for 56 billion shots or one year, while the dryer unit is protected for a full year.
This level of warranty coverage underscores Brother’s confidence in the system’s long-term durability and provides investment security for professional print service providers and predictable performance.
Seamless Workflow Integration
The DTRX comes with Cadlink Print Factory V12 but is also compatible with major RIP software from other providers, allowing smooth integration into existing workflows. Unlike entry-level systems, it ensures consistent output, low maintenance, and scalable production without disrupting operations.
Live Presentation at Upcoming FESPA 2026
As the industry looks toward the future of high-volume production, the Brother stand at FESPA 2026 is set to be a key destination for professionals seeking to enhance their operational capabilities. Distributors, garment decorators, and print professionals from the Middle East and beyond can visit the exhibit in Barcelona to discover the next-generation DTRX industrial DTF system first-hand.
