Borouge Inks Supply Deals for Advanced Packaging Solutions
Borouge, a leading petrochemicals company that provides innovative and differentiated polyolefin solutions for a variety of key sectors, has announced new supply agreements through collaborations with four companies valued at over $100 million.
Borouge signed agreements to supply advanced polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) with four companies: ALPLA for high-quality advanced packaging solutions, Bericap for high-performance closures and dispensing systems, INDEVCO Group for sustainable packaging solutions, and Taghleef Industries for durable and flexible packaging films. The deals will further reinforce Borouge’s commitment in advancing sustainability and delivering cutting-edge materials.
The new partnerships are expected to meet the evolving needs of the packaging industry, reflecting Borouge’s focus on creating innovative materials that improve product safety and reduce food waste by significantly extending shelf life, while also improving recyclability to reduce the impact on the environment.
The unique Borealis Borstar process and catalyst technology enables the Abu Dhabi-based petrochemicals company to provide a differentiated range of polyethylene and polypropylene products that enable innovative advanced packaging solutions for both flexible and rigid applications.
Besides packaging, the company’s polyolefin products are designed for several other sectors including agriculture, energy, healthcare, infrastructure, and mobility.
