Large-Area Electronics Event Moves to New Venue
The 10th annual Innovations in Large-Area Electronics conference (innoLAE 2024) and supporting events will be held at a new location on 20-22 February, 2024. IMI Europe, the event’s organizer, has announced Cripps Court, the award-winning conference centre at Magdalene College, Cambridge, UK, as the new venue for the popular conference.
Large-Area Electronics (LAE) is a new way of making electronics, including flexible, hybrid, organic, plastic, printed, and bioelectronics. It is enabled by new materials that can be processed at low-temperatures, permits the use of novel manufacturing processes such as digital fabrication and printing, and enables products with new form factors, new cost structures, and the potential for customization.
innoLAE 2024 will present a high caliber programme combining plenary addresses from internationally-renowned speakers, two parallel tracks of oral presentations, a poster session with the latest results in research, and an exhibition with leading companies and organisations showcasing the latest products and developments. The most promising scientific and technical developments presented in oral presentations and poster session will be awarded prizes.
The conference will focus on topics including manufacturing LAE components and systems, high-performance materials for LAE, novel devices and systems for LAE, bioelectronics, applications of LAE, and sustainability and energy efficiency.
innoLAE 2024 provides extensive networking opportunities for attendees including researchers, manufacturers, equipment suppliers, integrators, and users, as well as a chance to explore the latest emerging technology and the development of products incorporating LAE. The conference attracts an equal balance of delegates from the industry and academia, creating an important platform for advancing the state-of-the-art, supporting innovation, making connections between academia and industry, and building collaborations.
Applications covered include automotive, e-textiles, energy harvesting and flexible photovoltaics, flexible lighting and printed displays, healthcare and wellness, integrated smart systems, Internet of Things (IoT), smart packaging, and wearables.
“Having taken on this conference just in time for the pandemic, which meant two years of an online event, we were pleased to return to a face-to-face conference for 2023. For innoLAE 2024, we have a great new central Cambridge location and look forward to a successful event, “comments Tim Phillips, Managing Director, IMI Europe.
Attendees, who wish to continue networking in a relaxing atmosphere and unwind in true Cambridge style, can do so by signing up for the conference gala dinner, hosted in The Hall, Magdalene’s beautiful 16th century conference dining room, on 21 February, 2024.
