A new print and packaging show is getting ready behind the scene. Debutant Print Pack Arabia is all set to stage its presence in the coming year in UAE. Scheduled to be held from 7 to 10 April 2014 at Expo Centre Sharjah, the show is organized by Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Exhibition organizers are quite upswing about the show prospects. Sundeep Bolar exhibition’s Project Manager says that the regional printing and packaging industry is well aware of the upward trends and sensing the opportunities they will be ready than ever to invest in new technology and machinery. “We have been constantly keeping an eye on the market trends and have been in touch with the players for over a while. So far we have received the support of IPAMA (Indian Printing, Packaging and Allied Machinery Manufacturers’ Association), which is one of the biggest print and pack shows in India. They will be one of our co-organizers. We have been guaranteed a good participation from India as well as from China and Taiwan. We have started our campaign on a regional level and so far things are looking good.”
He added, “We are part of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and our focus is to promote and grow this industry. We expect to fill about 10,000 square meters of show space in the first year. In UAE, about 80% of the printers are located in Sharjah and in the Northern Emirates, so if they wish to target this market, it would be both convenient and suitable for them to participate in a show of this scale. Apart from regional players we will also be pooling in exhibitors from the GCC countries as well.”
