This issue of ME Printer reflects an industry in rapid transition. The recently concluded FESPA Global Print Expo 2026 in Barcelona strongly reinforced this direction. Bringing together more than 550 exhibitors and over 14,000 international visitors, the event highlighted the growing convergence of wide-format print, signage, textile, personalisation, corrugated packaging, workflow, and automation. Its newly launched Corrugated and Textile zones showed how speciality print is expanding into new applications and becoming part of a wider, connected value chain.
At the same time, interpack 2026 in Düsseldorf, held from 7–13 May 2026, once again placed packaging and processing at the centre of global industrial transformation. As the world’s leading trade fair for packaging and related process technologies, interpack underlined the importance of sustainable materials, efficient machinery, automation, and futureready packaging solutions across food, beverage, pharmaceutical ,cosmetics, industrial goods, and Consumer sectors.
Together, these two major events show where the industry is heading: toward smarter production, shorter runs, stronger sustainability, datadriven efficiency, and closer integration Between print, packaging, design, and technology.
