Chamber of Printing to Ramp Up Egypt’s Circular Economy

The Chamber of Printing & Packaging Industries is ramping up Egypt’s green industrial transition with an exclusive seminar on 4 May 2026, aimed at aligning local manufacturing with aggressive new international sustainability laws.

As global markets shift towards a circular economy, Egyptian industrial leaders are convening at the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI) building in Cairo to bridge the gap between local production and global compliance. The event, titled ‘Packaging Sustainability and Waste Management’, arrives as 2026 marks a turning point for the sector, where circularity and recoverability are no longer options but baseline requirements for international trade.

A group of experts, including Global Arc Founder and CEO Fairouz Galal will headline the panel at the Industrial Modernisation Centre (IMC), in a special session to learn about the technical services and projects provided by the centre to support factories in reducing carbon footprint, deepening local manufacturing, and improving green economy projects and productivity. Galal will share the latest global legislation, waste management strategies, and innovative models for sustainable packaging and the ways to apply them in the Egyptian market.

The seminar is part of a broader wave of sustainability initiatives in Cairo this year, leading up to major trade events.
