Fiery Appoints Micah Kornberg as New CEO

Fiery, LLC, the California-based provider of digital front ends (DFEs) and workflow solutions for the global print industry, has named its Chief Financial and Operating Officer, Micah Kornberg, as its new Chief Executive Officer. Kornberg, who has held senior positions at Fiery since 2011, succeeds outgoing CEO Toby Weiss.

Kornberg joined Fiery in 2011 when Electronics For Imaging, Inc. (EFI)—Fiery’s former parent company—purchased print-for-pay pioneer Entrac, where he served as the company’s President. Serving as Vice President and executive sponsor for Fiery’s enterprise accounts division, he helped modernise Fiery’s enterprise portfolio and became an integral part of the company’s leadership team. More recently, he led the standup of Fiery as an independent company following its separation from EFI in 2023. In 2025, Kornberg became Fiery’s Chief Financial and Operating Officer.

Weiss led Fiery through several milestones in his 17 years at the company, including the acquisition of direct-to-film software company CADlink in 2022. Fiery’s separation from EFI in 2023, Fiery’s acquisition by Seiko Epson Corporation in 2024, and the acquisition of Spanish textile printing software solutions provider Inèdit Software in 2026. He departs Fiery to serve as CEO for a company in the cybersecurity industry.

“Leading the team at Fiery has been an honour for me. I love the print industry, but decided for personal reasons to take on the challenges of leading a company in the field of cybersecurity, which is where I spent my early career prior to joining Fiery. Micah has been an instrumental part of Fiery’s management team for over 15 years, and I have full confidence that he will continue to expand Fiery’s role as the leading DFE technology provider in digital print,” explains Weiss.

“Toby has been an exceptional leader for over a decade and a half, and his efforts have positioned Fiery extremely well for continued DFE technology leadership and diversified growth. I’m honoured to take the reins, and look forward to guiding Fiery to even greater success in the next chapter of its journey,” says Kornberg.
