Brother Bags iF DESIGN AWARD 2026 for Inkjet Printer Series

Brother Industries, Ltd. has been named a recipient of the prestigious iF DESIGN AWARD 2026 for its DCP-J1260W and DCP-J1460DW A4 inkjet all-in-one printer series.

This award winning printer series is designed for a variety of home uses, including remote work and children’s learning. By reducing the unit size by up to 20% compared to previous models, it achieves both space-saving design for easy placement on desks and CO2 emissions reduction through reduced resin weight. In addition, the product and consumables have been completely redesigned to enhance repairability, recycling, and remanufacturing – making it a project focused on contributing to a circular, resource-efficient society.

This latest accolade brings the company’s total number of iF DESIGN AWARDS to 96 since its first win for an alphabetical typewriter in 1982, marking an impressive 19-year consecutive winning streak that began in 2008.

Running since 1953, iF DESIGN AWARD is one of the most prestigious international design competitions. Hosted by iF International Forum Design GmbH, Germany, the globally recognised awards have evolved beyond mere aesthetics. This year’s panel of 129 internationally renowned experts evaluated entries based on comprehensive criteria, including user interface (UI) and environmental performance. The competition saw a massive turnout, with more than 10,000 entries from 68 countries submitted across nine distinct categories.

Brother indicated it will pursue design from the customer’s perspective in its future product development and strive to provide superior value within the market.
