At Fespa 2018, Zünd is exhibiting a wide range of high-performance, multi-functional cutting systems configured for efficient, automated finishing. Solutions from the Swiss market leader are on display in various locations, including at Zünd booth B50 in Hall 1.2, in the Digital Corrugated Experience Zone, and at several booths of Zünd partners.
At Fespa 2018 Zünd is demonstrating once again how highly modular Zünd cutting systems are at the center of a seamless digital production workflow. Throughout the show, Zünd is also displaying its commitment to seamless workflow integration, providing cutters installed at the booths of well-known industry suppliers such as HP, Kornit, and Dover Digital Printing.
With the HP Latex R Series, HP is introducing a new generation of latex printers capable of printing both flexible and rigid substrates. For the cutting/finishing component, HP is collaborating with Zünd and has an S3 M-800 on display that can process a wide array of different types of materials.
At the Dover Digital Printing booth, visitors have an opportunity to witness an integrated digital production workflow in action in an exhibit visualizing each step in the making of athletic shirts – from design to print, to cutting performed on a Zünd S3 L-1600 with cradle feeder, all the way to the finished jersey. The cradle feeder advances stretch fabrics frequently used for athletic wear onto the cutting system in a tension- and wrinkle-free process. In the 250-square-meter Sports Factory, Caldera, MS Printing Solutions, JK Group, Monti Antonio, and Zünd collaborate with leading athletic brands like Nike, Puma, and Adidas to show a complete production workflow for producing custom-made soccer jerseys.
Another cutter showcasing Zünd productivity can be found at the Kornit Digital booth in Hall 1.1. Kornit Digital offers digital textile printing solutions for garments and home furnishings with systems ranging from entry-level to mass-production and high-speed, roll-to-roll printers. For efficient, reliable cutting/processing of different types of fabrics, the Kornit booth features the highly advanced and versatile S3-1200 cutting system.
In the demo/education area “Digital Corrugated Experience”, Fespa attendees can learn all about the advantages of digital cutting of packaging and retail displays made from corrugated cardboard. In this area, too, Zünd is featured as market-leading solutions provider. The “Trends Theatre” in Hall 3.1 is devoted to presentations on various production processes in digital textile and package printing, advertising & promotional products, industrial and decorative print. Stefan Lang, Head of Sales & Marketing and member of the Zünd Board of Directors is scheduled to take part in a panel discussion entitled “Boxes, Little Boxes – Digital Printing and The Packaging Industry” (May 17, 2pm, Hall 3.1, Booth A40).
