X-Plus, a business consultancy company with focus on marketing and BTL solutions recently purchased its second Fujifilm large format machine. Company’s new flatbed equipment Acuity LED 1600 was on display at Fujifilm stand. This is company’s second machine from Fujifilm. We caught up with Nidhal
Bin Jaber, X-plus’s managing director to find out why he decided to opt for a second printer from Japanese manufacturer. ”We bought our first Fujifilm large format printer last year. In first quarter of 2013 we were able to produce 4000 square meter of high quality jobs with our machine. We already had a Gerber Solara flatbed printer which did not meet our expectations. The level of service that Fujifilm and its representation in the region is offering us is praiseworthy.” Comments Bin Jaber.
X-plus boasts a range of offset presses as well as large format printing equipment. The company was established in 2001 in Saudi Arabia. In 2002 company’s headquarter was relocated to Dubai. A network of X-Plus local and representation offices in Saudi, Egypt, Jordan, Bahrain, Oman, Syria, Yemen and Qatar offer services to clients across the region. “We have a complete range of equipment for offset printing operation which includes Heidelberg CD 4 colour, two colour GTO, Eurocutter, lamination equipment, Fujifilm CTP system and wide range of finishing equipment. However we are not a typical commercial printer. We are catering to niche markets. Our exclusive and unique product is called lama.
Lama is the first patented cardboard foldable display system that opens automatically into position. The most common application is the standard communication support column.
The Lamà offers a vast array of design variations and applications – it can hold stock, showcase an individual product, highlight a shelf section or brand an experiential campaign.
Lama is a patented product from a company called Marine’s and we are the only company that are offering this product. Our high profile customers include DU, Etisalat and a wide range of International companies, “explains Bin Jaber and adds,” we are also offering Zign-up. This patented technology is a production method making it possible to create a 3D effect on almost all flat prints. The 3D effect is possible to create on surfaces like foil, carpets, vinyl, posters etc. We are offering Zing up indoor solutions. With Zign-up you are able to produce a text or message standing on the floor or hanging from the wall, with amazing 3D effect.” Bin Jaber’s plan for future includes further expansion into display market, luxury packaging and Dboard. Bin Jaber expects to see more applications and state-of -the- art equipment in SGI. “I believe visitors who come to SGI are looking for unique applications that can offer added value to printers and customers. Showing the equipment is not enough what you are able to do with the machine is more important,” concludes Bin Jaber.
