Unilux will be showing off its new cross light inspection LED strobe at GPP 2019. For more than 55 years, Unilux has been developing and producing industrial surface inspection lighting for the printing, converting, packaging, metals, paper manufacturing and textile industries.
The company’s product range extends from battery-operated handheld devices for spot checking, maintenance/inspection and narrow webs, to fixed-mounted devices to illuminate widths of up to 12m. Unilux provides worldwide support through its global network of sales representatives in 58 countries and service centers in North America, Germany, Thailand, China and India.
The new LED27 is the company’s first LED inspection stroboscope specifically designed to meet OEMs worldwide needs. This unit can be integrated seamlessly into OEM machines. It is the perfect combination of form and function; exceptionally bright coverage in a compact strobe.
Of particular interest should be the fact that it runs on 24VDC machine power to eliminate a separate 110/220V AC supply. This device also features the Smart Assist graphical user interface, which simplifies both operation and system configuration. “To support international users, we currently provide the system in the following languages: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Chinese and Japanese,” the company said in a statement.
The company’s Cross light Inspection detects defects on product surfaces. Until recently, factories have had to choose between Bright Field or Dark Field illumination. With the latest developments in LED technology flash timing can be controlled, allowing the simultaneous use of bright and dark field illumination.
Surface imperfections become much more visible. The operator gets a deeper insight into the quality of the material – at full production speed. Cross Light Inspection requires different illumination setups, so Unilux works on-site with the customer to achieve the best results.
