The Demand For B2 Presses on The Rise

Conventional wisdom tells us that commercial printing all over the world is on decline and printers are reluctant to invest in new offset equipment; well it isn’t happening here. The investment in B2 presses in UAE is as high as ever.

A brand new Heidelberg SX 74 with aqueous coater and dryer will be delivered to Rich Printing Press, Sharjah in July.  The press is already equipped with a 4 colour Heidelberg SM 74 with coater & dryer as well as two GTO’s.

Rich printing press also boasts of a full- fledged prepress and finishing department. The company’s post press kits include Polar Guillotine machines, die-cutting equipment, thermal and cold laminating machines, hot foil stamping and a number of other equipments. Rich also uses Screen Platerite CTP system as well as an automatic plate processor.

The company was established in 2005 but has its genesis in a partnership firm established in the year 2001, which is Anqara Advertising & Publishing.

The company has attracted high profile customers such as Unilever and major 5 star hotels including Armani and Atlantis. The company’s management believes that with the demand for the shorter runs on the rise, B2 presses are becoming more popular. B1 machines are more suitable for long runs and many printers are struggling to achieve capacity utilization for theses very productive presses.

Rich Printing press is on a growth spree and is expanding fast.

At the moment 70 people work in the company but by July the number of employees will increase to 85 and by this year end more than 100 people will be on the company’s pay roll.
