SGI Dubai, the sign and graphic imaging show being held annually in Dubai, will in the coming edition host an exclusive retail pavilion – ‘SGI Retail’ – that would cater to the growing retail industry in the UAE and the Middle East. According to recent published reports, the UAE retail sector contributes around 14% to its GDP, and it will grow by an average of 7% by 2015.
“Forbes magazine rated UAE as the world’s sixth wealthiest nation by GDP per capita income in 2011, surpassing most developed economies from across the globe. This further endorses the fact that the country is on the top in terms of purchasing power and plays a vital role in keeping the domestic retail sector as one of the world’s fastest growing retail marketplace. We are delighted to include another dimension to our show by adding – SGI Retail to the show. SGI Retail will showcase – retail signage section, POP/POS and other digital signage products. In addition the show will have state-of-the-art large format printers from major players from across the globe in addition to, substrates, ink and the CNC/laser machines. The show will also include seminars and workshops conducted by industry experts and will provide a great networking opportunity for industry professionals.
SGI 2014 aims to welcome over 400 global exhibitors from across 30 countries and expects over 10000 trade visitors from 75 countries to visit UAE during the show in January 2014. International Expo Consults (IEC) subsidiary of Falak Holding is the main organiser of this event.
